  • Before contacting the Ombudsman, you should first work directly with Central to answer your question(s) or resolve any dispute(s). To contact Central’s VRP Customer Service Hotline Department, call toll-free: 1-866-505-8553 8:15am to 6pm EST.

The duties of the ombudsman are:

  1. Assisting communications between Central and yourself.
  2. Where appropriate, requesting accelerated handling of a complete claim through the steps necessary for Central to assign a replacement contractor.
  3. In the event of a dispute between you and Central following replacement of your sprinklers, making a nonbinding recommendation to Central as to resolution of the dispute.
  4. Resolving disputes as to the reasonableness of the price paid for replacement work during the pre-VRP period, and resolving disputes as to the pre-determined bid price as described in the Notice of Enhancements on Page 5 - Reimbursement Option for Labor if Replacement is Not Started Within Three (3) Years of the Claim Complete Date.
